How much will fried food harm your heart?
Vegetables cooked in healthy oils, like olive oil, avocado oil and many others, can be considered heart healthy. The harm of other fried foods depends on what you are frying. In general, whatever you fry, use oils rather than solid fats. Trans fats are the worst, but they have been banned in many countries. An occasional portion of French fries is unlikely to harm your heart if the rest of time you follow a healthy diet, like the Mediterranean style diet.
