Cystic fibrosis mostly affects the lungs, causing problems with breathing and recurrent lung infections. It also affects the digestive system, causing diarrhea and trouble with digesting food. It can also lead to recurrent sinusitis, liver and biliary problems, diabetes, arthritis, bone problems and infertility in males.
