Causes of Iron Deficiency Anemia

I have iron deficiency anemia, and have had colonoscopy and an upper GI endoscopy. The results of both were normal. I have plenty of iron in my diet. I don't have heavy menstrual periods. Could my anemia be caused by donating blood?
