My 27-year-old son is trying to quit smoking pot. He’s gone three days now without smoking, but now he’s experiencing stomach cramps, nausea, and headaches. He has no appetite, is often angry, is unable to make decisions, and has insomnia. Are these symptoms normal? How long will they last?
I have recently been diagnosed with fatty liver disease. I have started taking milk thistle (two capsules a day), eating artichokes (after reading these were good for your liver), as well as cutting back on my food intake. I'm also eating lots of vegetables and beans, and plan to exercise more and drink less. Do you think these measures might help?

I would like to know if fibromyalgia runs in families. In my family, we have three people diagnosed with it and two others have symptoms. We are all women and it seems to start around 30 to 35 for most of us. I am concerned it may not be fibromyalgia. Could something else be going on?
No matter what I eat, I can?t gain weight. This has been a problem all my life. For the last five years, I have had the additional problem that if I don't eat as soon as I get hungry (which is about every two hours), I start getting sick. I first get stomach cramps. Then, after about 20 minutes, I start to get really hot and dizzy and feel like I'm going to throw up. I suspect that if I didn?t eat at that point, I would pass out. What could be causing these symptoms? I think my great aunt wasted away from this problem.
My skin sometimes gets dark patches, even those areas not exposed to the sun, like my underarms, behind my knees, and inner thighs. It usually happens after an itchy irritation. Sometimes the dark color stays and will not fade. Why does this happen? Is there anything I can do to get the dark area back to its normal color?
What is the best and safest painkiller I can use long term for fibromyalgia? I suffer from severe headaches, muscle and joint pain, as well as back pain.
I have a couple of questions about herpes. Does it show up right away or does it take a while before you know you have it? I had blood test for herpes two years ago with my last pregnancy and it was negative. Now I’m pregnant again and I have a positive reading from the blood test. Would that mean that I was infected with herpes sometime between the two babies? My second question is: How often are the blood test results wrong?
