Study: Smoking Raises Risk of Colon Cancer
Smokers are more likely than others to get colon cancer, and to die from it, a new study finds. Researchers combined data from 106 studies. They found that smoking increased the risk of getting colon and rectal cancer by 18%. It increased the risk of dying from the cancer by 25%. HealthDay News wrote about the study December 16.
