I have a moderate to severe “patent foramen ovale.” My doctor recommends that I have it closed. What are my options? Can I wait or should it be done in the near future?

Bipolar disorder in children

Bipolar disorder is often not recognized in children or is misdiagnosed as ADHD. Therapy along with a combination of medications can be effective, but there is often a lengthy dosage adjustment trial period, and there are numerous possible side effects.

Partial Small Bowel Obstruction

I was recently in the hospital for 10 days and told I had an obstruction in my small intestine. They did not have to do surgery, but the pain was severe. How can I prevent this from happening again?

Medical Diagnostic Tests

If we can bring our cars in for diagnostics testing, why can’t we take a tube or two of blood from a patient and do the same? Doctors do not have a crystal ball to tell them what’s wrong. They have to guess from what they’ve learned in medical school. I don’t believe there is such a test, is there?
